Sunnah Honey Asal ; ALLAH has said, “There comes forth, from within [the bee], a beverage of many colors in which there is a healing for you.” Mixed with warm water, and taken in several small doses, honey is considered the best remedy for diarrhea. The Prophet (Salla’Allahu alaihi wa’sallam) once said, “By HIM in whose hand is my soul, eat honey. For there is no house in which honey is kept for the angels will not ask for mercy. If a person eats honey, a thousand remedies enter his stomach and a million diseases will come out. If a man dies and honey is found within him, fire [burning of hell] will not touch his body.” The Prophet (Salla’Allahu alaihi wa’sallam) himself used to drink a glass of honey and water each morning on an empty stomach.

There is so much hikma (wisdom) in the shifa (healing) and curing by honey. Whether it be in its pure form on a spoon, mixed with a warm or hot beverage, applied to the skin as an antiseptic or enjoyed directly in bee pollen. As we see the might of Allah subhana wa t’ala in nature we see the nahl (bees) buzzing around busily during the period which we know gives rise to hay fever. Eating the locally produced honey to one’s surrounding area can help prevent or lower chances of getting hay fever.  By consuming the local honey, the pollen which the nahl has been busy collecting is consumed, thus helping to build an immunity and lowering chances of reacting to it. Subhana Allah.
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Healing is in three things: cupping, a gulp of honey or cauterization, (branding with fire) but I forbid my followers to use cauterization.” Sahih al-Bukhari Summarized Book of Medicine #69,  chapter 1, Hadith no. 1963 [7:585-O.B
