D’ates are particularly rich in vitamins A, B6, and K. Those vitamins promote bone growth and improve eye health. Additionally, dates contain calcium, iron, potassium, protein, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and sulfur, enhancing overall body function. For example, they may support a healthy pregnancy and regulate cholesterol levels.
Jabir b. Abdullah reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not mix fresh d’ates and dry d’ates, and grapes and fresh dates for preparing Nabidh. (Nabidh is a drink traditionally made from fruits such as raisins/grapes or dates.)
