  1. Bounty halal or haram

  2. AoA – would it be possible to find out (if the answer is not already available) where the source of ethanol is derived in the natural vanilla extract used in chocolates such as bounty, Twix, Mars etc

Does this ethanol that is used in very small quantities to extract the vanilla flavour, come from dates and grapes? If not, what is the source please? Can any one confirm.

    Thanks
    Naila

  3. Ok then. The chocolate Bounties are halal, right?

  4. What is E471 derived from and also Glycerol these 2 ingredients are questionable

Hi; this was something checked by HFA who confirmed these products (Bounty) is Halal

  6. Isn’t the vanilla extract a haram ingredient, because of using wine and alcohol to extract it?

  7. Isnt the vanilla extract a haram ingredient, because of using wine and alcohol in extracting it?

  8. Isnt the vanilla extract a haram ingredient, because of using wine and alcohol in extracting it?

  9. How about vanilla extract? Quote from your entry on vanilla extract:
Step Number 1: Read the ingredients list on the food package. If you find a vanilla extract under the ingredients statement, this means the vanilla is extracted with alcohol and alcohol containing vanilla extract is added to the products. Vanilla Extract is a Haram ingredient. Stop here, do not use the product.
So doesn’t this conflict with your verdict on Bounty as it clearly contains vanilla extract as an ingredient.
